What We Collect

We collect only what's needed to provide the service:

• Account: Email address (encrypted), optional name, gender, and age range
• Tracking data: Food logs, body metrics, activity, sleep, and other health data you choose to log
• Preferences: Your settings, goals, and display preferences
• Support requests: Messages you send via the contact form, including device info for debugging

How We Use Your Data

• Display your tracking history, reports, and insights
• Generate AI-powered analysis (Premium feature)
• Send login codes to your email
• Respond to support requests
• Improve the service based on usage patterns (anonymised)

We do not: Sell your data or share identifiable information with third parties for marketing. We do not use your personal data for ad targeting. Generic health and fitness advertisements may be displayed.

Third-Party Services

We use these services to operate Eatzly:

• Resend: Sends login code emails. Only receives your email address.
• Google Gemini AI: Processes photos for nutrition scanning (Premium). Images are sent for analysis but not stored by Google.
• Replit: Hosts our application and database.

Data Security

• Your email address is encrypted using industry-standard encryption (AES)
• Login codes are one-time use and expire quickly
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS
• Sessions expire after 300 days of inactivity

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• Export: Download all your data anytime (Premium: full backup, all users: GDPR export)
• Delete: Permanently delete your account and all data
• Reset: Clear your tracking data while keeping your account
• Access: View and edit your personal information in your profile

These options are available in Settings under "Data Controls".

Data Retention

• Your data is kept as long as your account is active
• Inactive accounts may be deleted after 2 years
• When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed within 30 days

Cookies

We use essential cookies only to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be communicated through the app.
